Join Friends New and Old
Gather for fellowship and joyful events at DRCC throughout the year!
Youth Group
We have one youth group at DRCC for grades 4-12. It is important for our youth to learn from one another and help each other in their faith journeys. While some events are separated by age, most are open to all.
Contact the Director of Youth & Family Ministries.
Adult Fellowships
Adult Fellowship gatherings are a great way to stay connected and build new friendships within DRCC.
Check the church calendar for our annual Men’s Outing and Women’s Retreat.
DRCC’s Annual Events
Blessing of the Animals
Bring your animal companion to the front steps of the church to receive an individual blessing from Rev. Tim Haut. This is our way of celebrating God’s love for “All Creatures Great and Small” in honor of the birthday of St. Francis of Assisi (the patron saint of animals). We ask that dogs be leashed. (See October on the Church Calendar.)
Cemetery Tour
Sponsored by Deep River Historical Society
This annual walking tour of Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River takes place in October. Meet by the flagpole near the entrance, then stroll the lovely hillsides and paths, noting the old markers linking us to the saints and scoundrels of Deep River history. The tour is led by Rev. Tim Haut.
Christmas Pageant
DRCC’s nativity pageant “Thy Light is Come” is presented by young people each year on Christmas Eve. Costumed shepherds, angels, and wise men join Mary and Joseph to sing carols and tell the Christmas story written in 1942 by a former minister of the church, the late Rev. Walter Euston, Sr. Contact: Director of Christian Education
Earth Day Celebration
DRCC’s Green Team shares environmental conservation tips; kids can ride their own decorated bikes or walk in our Earth Day parade around the church. Contact: Director of Christian Education

Joyful Pumpkin Festival
On the Sunday before Halloween, our youth are invited to dress in their Halloween costumes. We will parade through the Sanctuary, listen to a message about UNICEF, which is followed by festive treats and games. The congregation is invited to bring a Jack-o-Lantern or pumpkin to place at the front of the church during service for our Joyful Pumpkin Festival. After worship, join us outside for the Great Pumpkin Toss from the Church tower! Contact: Director of Christian Education
Las Posadas Celebration
Our annual Christmas Procession led by Mary, Joseph and their donkey in the style of the 400-year-old Mexican tradition. We process down Deep River’s Main Street singing Christmas carols and knocking on doors to seek shelter for Mary and Joseph on their way to Bethlehem. Return to church for refreshments and the kids’ festive breaking of a piñata.
